Red Ribbon WeekAldine ISD will observe Red Ribbon Week Oct. 22-26 throughout the district and at all grade levels.

Red Ribbon week is the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the United States. Red Ribbon Week serves as a vehicle for communities like Aldine and individuals to take a stand for the hopes and dreams of our children through a commitment to drug prevention and education and to a personal commitment to live drug free lives with the ultimate goal being the creation of a drug free America.

During the week of Oct. 22, there will be a different theme each day for Aldine students and teachers to show off their creativity and say “no” to drugs.

Below are a list of the different themes for Red Ribbon Week:

  • Monday, Oct. 22 – “We are Red Hot to Keep our Schools Drug Free.” Students and teachers will wear red clothing.
  • Tuesday, Oct 23 – “Knock the Socks Out of Drugs.” Students and teachers will wear crazy socks.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 24 – “Team Up Against Drugs.” Students and teachers will wear their favorite team jersey or shirt.
  • Thursday, Oct. 25 – “Don’t Get Tied Up with Drugs.” Students and teachers will wear their favorite ties to school.
